Our coaching staff is dedicated to the development and success of our players. They bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the team and foster a supportive and growth-oriented environment, enabling us to compete at the national level!
JULIE VAN
Head Coach
Julie is the first female coach and later head coach of the UofT women's flag football program. She believes when it comes to decrs, less is more.
GISSELLE VILLAGRACIA
Defensive Coordinator

After a successful playing career for UofT, she began her coaching journey in 2021 as RB coach. She later switched to focus on DBs and has served as the defensive coordinator since the 2022 season. She absolutely loves to see a
solid block and strong press.
JASMINE ROMERO
Defensive Coordinator

Entering her 5th year of coaching, Jasmine is committed to
the growth and development of women’s flag football. Nothing hypes her up more than a well executed blitz or a defensive
line pick 6.
JACOB WRIGHT

Jacob joined the coaching staff in 2022 and has become a pivotal member of the 11s team.

Former University of Toronto Varsity Blues Quarterback. In my second year with UTWFF. My goal is to not only help our athletes develop their skills but also their understanding of the game and what it takes to be a successful athlete at this level.
DEBBIE LEE
REC/RB
Debbie has over 15 years of experience playing football and was a former coach with the TDSB. She enjoys developing player football IQ and brings a wealth of knowledge on both sides of the field, specializing in both receivers and DBs.
Debbie loves seeing well-executed route running and downfield pancakes.

I was born and raised in Mexico City and came to Toronto to play football and study. I became the first Mexican player in Varsity Blues Football history, and loved every moment of it. Some of my hobbies include biking, cooking, and watching football. My first season at UTWFF was amazing and I’m looking forward to win more!

I have played on the UTWFF team for the past 3 years and wanted to come back as a coach to continue being apart of
the football community at Uoft! Outside of the UofT team, I
play on different Senior Women’s teams either that be touch
